I Believe That Dogs Aren't Just Pets - They Are Family

If there is anything I’ve learned from owning dogs, it’s that your dog is a cherished member of your family.

Nothing comes close to the bond between you and your furry family, whether it’s their playful energy, endless affection or unwavering loyalty.

From the moment you bring them home for the first time you have a friend for life. Dogs are like a child that never grows up.

I Understand That Owning a Dog Is Hard Work

As your dog is your furry child, you never stop worrying about their vulnerability.

I appreciate how difficult it can be for you to leave your dog alone for long periods, especially when away at work. That nagging feeling of guilt and unease for leaving them alone never goes away.

Owning a dog should be all about love and joy, not guilt and stress.

One of the most satisfying parts of my job is giving you peace of mind that even if you have to be away from home, your dog doesn’t have to be lonely or miss out on fun and stimulation.

Giving your dog a tail-wagging adventure whilst you are away at work will provide you with more time for quality play and cuddles when you are back home. It’s a win-win for you both.

"Max loves his afternoon walks with Steve. We are so lucky to have found someone we can trust"

Introducing Myself...

Hi, I’m Stephen! I’m a lifelong animal lover and I’ve lived in Worthing all my life. I’ve always loved dogs as far back as I can remember, and we’ve always had dogs in the family.

Here I am at 8 years old in 1990 with our first Bichon Frise called Sukie. Fast forward to 2023 and we’ve had five Bichons in the family – Sukie, Milly & Molly and to this present day Bonzo and JJ.

Having previously worked for over 14 years in the field of psychology, I decided to switch to working with animals and dog walking and have enjoyed every moment of it.

What I love most about my job is seeing dogs enjoying their freedom. I love walking dogs, seeing them free to sniff around, run about and bouncing around to burn off some energy and having fun with their friends. Then sending them home happy and tired until their next adventure!

Along with dog walking, I also enjoy training them – It’s immensely satisfying seeing a wild little rogue tamed and becoming calm, content and obedient.

I Know How Hard It Is to Leave Them All Alone

Leaving your dog alone for long periods of time is tough. Trust me, I know the feeling all too well. Years ago when I got my first puppies, Milly and Molly, I was stretched thin for time.

After a few weeks off work to settle them in, I had to go back to work full-time at an office across town. I’d leave for work as late as I could and made sure to be out of there at 5 pm on the dot.

Even though I could dash back home to see them for an hour’s lunch break, and family members popped in to check on them, it was still heartbreaking to leave them home alone. I worried about them getting bored, what mischief they might be getting into, and if they were bothering the neighbours.

It was a stressful few weeks, but luckily, I was able to work from home soon after. If I hadn’t been so fortunate to be able to work from home, I definitely would have hired a dog walker to give them some company and a daytime escapade to make new friends and burn off some of that puppy energy. Knowing they were in good hands, and having fun would have been a huge relief.

So if you’re in a similar situation, I’m here to help.

We’ll work together to find a solution that works for you and your furry friend. Let’s make sure they’re never alone for too long again.

"100% Recommend Stephen, he is so good with Milo, I mean he simply adores you. I wouldn't let him be walked by anyone else"
Natalie V, owner of Milo

Give Them the Gift of Tail-wagging Adventures

Your dog loves adventures! So consider this – research has found due to time constraints most daily dog walks are less than 30 minutes long, and usually around the same familiar routes.

Allow me to give them the gift of variety. I can help keep your dog fit and healthy by taking them on a 1 hour (minimum) tail-wagging adventure to a wide variety of safe, dog-friendly spaces that they will love – including, but not limited to:

  • Kingston Beach
  • Cissbury Ring
  • Chanctonbury Ring
  • Kithurst Hill
  • Angmering Park
  • Blakehurst
  • Sompting Estate
  • Steyning Bowl
    and more…
